Aimsun Licenser¶

Aimsun Licenser is an application that licenses your computer to use Aimsun modeling software.

First steps¶

You must have an active Aimsun account to access the Aimsun Licenser application.

If you need help setting up or accessing your Aimsun account, please contact the Customer Service Team.

Login¶

The first time you sign in to Aimsun Licenser, you will need to give your username and password of your Aimsun account.

Licensing a computer¶

After login, the system will display your user information (name, email, and avatar from Gravatar) and your assigned license(s).

Click on the Acquire button to obtain your license.

Renewing your license¶

All licenses are valid for up to 30 days; after expiry, your license is renewed the next time you start the Aimsun Licenser application and click on the Acquire button. This license renewal process will repeat until the end of the duration of your licensing contract.

OR

5 days before the license expires, an Extend button will appear. You can extend the license for 30 more days by clicking on the Extend button.

Releasing your license¶

If for any reason you need to release a license back into the pool ahead of its expiration date, click on the Release button.

Licensing more than one computer¶

Check the Max Devices field to see your assigned number of concurrent activations. The default setting is for use on one computer only. To request an Aimsun license that can be used at the same time on more than one computer, please contact the Customer Service team.

This service is not available for free licenses like the Student license, the Postgraduate license, or the Viewer.

Multiple licenses¶

If you have multiple licenses in your Aimsun account, select which license you want to activate by clicking on the relevant line in the table. Note that you may only activate one license at a time on any given computer.
