SEPAC Interface

M60 is a controller from Yunex Traffic that runs SEPAC software. More information on SEPAC and M60 is available from Yunex Traffic USA intersection control and Yunex Traffic USA ITS controllers. Sometimes the owners of websites change the location of their files, so in the unlikely event that these links don't work, please visit us.yunextraffic.com and search for 'SEPAC' or 'M60'.

Adapter Installation

Yunex Traffic has implemented an interface between the controller emulator, which runs only in a Linux docker, and the microscopic simulation in Aimsun Next reusing the Yutraffic Office interface and implementing a Java gateway that does the translation.

The adapter software to link Aimsun Next to a control program configured for the junction being simulated. The communications sequence is:

Aimsun Next <--> Adapter <--> Junction Specific Control

Hence a pre-requisite to using Aimsun Next with M60 - SEPAC controllers is to first install the Yutraffic Tools Aimsun Adapter (SimAdapter). It is available for downloading from here.

Controller

Configure the signal controller to link to the SEPAC control software by specifying:

  • The intersection ID
  • The configuration folder
  • The cabinet type

M60 - SEPAC Controller Detectors

When selecting a detector in the Detectors tab folder table, a table called "Transit Lines Detected" is enabled at the bottom of the dialog and transit lines can be selected.

Pedestrian Walks

To allow the Push-Buttons functionality for pedestrians, the Pedestrian Crossings/Crosswalk Areas at the controlled junction should be assigned to a signal group in the Nodes Editor.

These Pedestrian Crossings/Crosswalk Areas will then appear in the Controller Editor > Pedestrian Walks tab > Pedestrian Crossings and Crosswalk Areas and the user can assign each or multiple Pedestrian Crossings/Crosswalk Areas to a Push-Button ID in the M60-SEPAC Controller configuration.
